I used to work as a middle school art teacher. Good and fun, right? Or, you're shaking your head right now, thinking something along the lines of, "Bless your heart how did you do that?!"

Well, the answer is that I did it because I loved it. However, it became apparent at a certain point that the stress involved in caring for my little terrors (God love seventh graders...) wasn't that great for me. 

Long story short, several MRIs, infertility doctors, and an L1 fracture later, here I am! I was teaching small art lessons and it was suggested to me that gosh I should sell my stuff if I don't. (I didn't.) When the series of classes I was teaching wound down, I faced a choice: do I look for another job, or take the plunge and start my own handmade business?

I'll let you guess what I chose.

All of my artwork, be it ceramics, paintings, or something else, is eco-conscious and inspired by nature. That means that whenever possible I purchase locally sourced clay, have an energy-efficient kiln, use recycled watercolor paper, and carefully choose my shipping materials, The earth is taking care of me, so I feel I should do the same.
